This was the perspective from top of the control tower looking to the north. The building closest to the camera was an NBC-proof operations bunker and the others were hardened aircraft shelters, a dozen of which were built in the central and the western dispersal loop for the A-10s in the 1980s. Behind them, you can see the roofs of the houses of Sembach village and in the distance the
administrative annex is visible as a gaggle of white buildings on the top of the hill.
